Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Contracts (宿泊約款)

Article 1 (Scope of Application) The Accommodation Contract and related agreements concluded between this Inn and the Guest shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions. Any matters not stipulated in these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by laws, regulations, or generally established customs.

Article 2 (Application for Accommodation Contract) A person who intends to apply for an Accommodation Contract with this Inn shall provide the Inn with the following particulars:

  1. Name of the Guest(s)

  2. Address of the Guest(s)

  3. Date(s) of accommodation and estimated time of arrival

  4. Accommodation charges (based, in principle, on the basic accommodation charges specified by the Inn)

  5. Other matters deemed necessary by the Inn

 

Article 3 (Conclusion of Accommodation Contract) The Accommodation Contract shall be deemed to have been concluded when the Inn accepts the application as stipulated in the preceding Article.

 

Article 4 (Guest's Right to Cancel the Contract and Cancellation Fees)

  1. The Guest may cancel the Accommodation Contract by notifying the Inn.

  2. If the Guest cancels the Accommodation Contract in whole or in part, the Inn shall charge a cancellation fee (penalty) based on the separately stipulated "Cancellation Policy" as follows:

  • 14 to 8 days prior to arrival: 30% of the accommodation fee

  • 7 to 4 days prior to arrival: 50% of the accommodation fee

  • 3 to 2 days prior to arrival: 80% of the accommodation fee

  • 1 day prior, day of arrival, or No-show: 100% of the accommodation fee

 

Article 5 (Right to Refuse Accommodation Contracts) The Inn may refuse to conclude or may cancel an Accommodation Contract in any of the following cases:

  1. When the application for accommodation does not conform to these Terms and Conditions.

  2. When the Inn is fully booked and no rooms are available.

  3. When the person seeking accommodation is deemed likely to violate laws, public order, or good morals in regard to their accommodation.

  4. When the person seeking accommodation is clearly identified as carrying an infectious disease.

  5. When violent demands or burdens exceeding a reasonable scope are made regarding the accommodation.

  6. When the Inn is unable to provide accommodation due to natural disasters, facility malfunctions, or other unavoidable reasons.

  7. When the person is deemed likely to cause significant annoyance to other guests or local residents due to severe intoxication or other reasons.

 

Article 6 (Observance of Usage Rules)

  • This Inn is a renovated historical wooden building constructed in the late Edo period. From the perspective of building preservation and fire prevention, the use of fire (including cassette stoves, barbecues, fireworks, etc.) inside the facility and on the premises is strictly prohibited.

  • As the Inn is located in a quiet residential area, loud voices and noise during the night (after 20:00) are prohibited.

  • Please refrain from using items with strong odors (moxa, incense, bath salts, etc.) inside the Inn.

  • The entire building is strictly non-smoking. If smoking (including electronic cigarettes, etc.) is discovered inside the building, a penalty of 50,000 JPY will be charged for special cleaning fees and loss of business opportunities.

  • Swimming in Ine Bay is prohibited as a general rule.

 

Article 7 (Inn's Right to Cancel the Contract) The Inn may cancel the Accommodation Contract in any of the following cases:

  1. When it is discovered that the Guest falls under any of the conditions in Article 5 or Article 6.

  2. When the Guest does not comply with the prohibited actions of the usage rules established by the Inn, such as smoking indoors or tampering with firefighting equipment.

 

Article 8 (Registration of Accommodation) The Guest shall register the following particulars at the front desk (reception) of the Inn on the day of accommodation:

  1. Name, age, gender, address, and occupation of the Guest(s)

  2. For foreign nationals: Nationality, passport number, and presentation and submission of a passport copy

  3. Date and estimated time of departure

  4. Other matters deemed necessary by the Inn

 

Article 9 (Occupancy Hours of Guest Rooms)

  1. The check-in and check-out times of the Inn are as follows:

  • Check-in: 15:00 to 19:00 (Please contact us if arriving after 19:00)

  • Check-out: by 10:00

  1. Upon check-out, please be sure to return the room key to the reception. The check-out process is considered complete upon the return of the key.

  2. In the case of consecutive stays, the room may be used throughout the day, except on the days of arrival and departure.

 

Article 10 (Payment of Fees)

  1. Payment of accommodation charges, etc., shall be made by online credit card advance payment.

  2. Accommodation charges shall be claimed even if the Guest voluntarily does not utilize the accommodation facilities after they have been provided and made available for use by the Inn.

 

Article 11 (Handling of Deposited Articles) The Guest is solely responsible for the management of any articles, cash, and valuables brought into the Inn.

 

Article 12 (Custody of Baggage and/or Belongings of the Guest)

  1. If the Guest's baggage arrives at the Inn prior to their stay, the Inn will securely store it only when agreed to in advance (including methods specified by the Inn) and will hand it over when the Guest checks in.

  2. If the Guest's baggage or belongings are left at the Inn after check-out, the Inn will securely store them only when agreed to in advance. If the items are not claimed within the storage period previously specified by the Inn, they shall be deemed intentionally abandoned and their ownership renounced.

  3. In the event that a Guest's baggage or belongings are left behind after check-out without the Inn's prior consent, and it is reasonably inferred that they were intentionally abandoned, or if there is no contact regarding the belongings even after the storage period specified by the Inn has passed from the check-out date, they shall be deemed intentionally abandoned and their ownership renounced.

 

Article 13 (Observance of House Rules) The Guest shall comply with the usage rules (House Rules) established by the Inn while on the premises. Strict adherence is especially required regarding nighttime noise and the prohibition of fire.

 

Article 14 (Responsibilities of the Guest)

  • In the event that damages, special cleaning fees, lost room key fees, etc., mentioned in the following paragraphs occur, the Inn reserves the right to charge the relevant costs to the credit card used by the Guest for online payment at the time of booking, and the Guest shall agree to this in advance.

  • If the Inn suffers damage due to the willful misconduct or negligence of the Guest (e.g., damage to facilities, loss of equipment, severe soiling requiring special cleaning), the Guest shall compensate the Inn for such damage.

  • In the event of a lost room key, the Guest shall pay 22,000 JPY (tax included) as a replacement fee.

  • Cancellations due to COVID-19 infection or being identified as a close contact will also incur cancellation fees as usual.

 

Article 15 (Entering the Guest Room) The Inn may enter the guest room without the Guest's permission even after check-in in the following cases:

  1. When providing Inn services such as cleaning.

  2. When the Guest is deemed likely to engage in, or has engaged in, acts contrary to laws, usage rules, public order, or good morals.

  3. When entry is deemed necessary in accordance with the guidance of the police or fire department.

  4. When entry is deemed necessary for the preservation of the building and facilities.

  5. When the Inn deems it necessary to confirm the safety and well-being of the Guest.

 

Article 16 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Inn shall not bear any responsibility for the loss or theft of the Guest's belongings within the Inn.

  2. The Inn shall not be held responsible for any accidents, theft, etc., that occur in the parking lot.
